Maia Bielak (LMT, RYT) serves the Ojai Valley and beyond as a trauma-informed integrative coach and bodyworker with expertise in somatic awareness and inquiry.

For more than 20 years, Maia has served clients and communities with expertise in interdisciplinary wellness, from trauma-informed somatic inquiry and coaching and polyvagal theory to master-level practice in therapeutic arts.  Her background includes practice leadership for world-renowned mindbody programs—including training and leadership for ~100 practitioners at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health—and wellness ambassador roles at the American Hospital Association and the Ojai Valley Green Coalition. Today she works out of the Ojai Valley as a trusted practitioner and advisor on mind-body integration at individual and community levels.

Maia holds numerous certifications in mind-body integration, narrative medicine, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and clinical massage therapy. She holds a certificate of advanced learning from Somatic Experiencing International and is an ongoing student of interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB) at the Mindsight Institute. Maia earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio University.

With a specialty in trauma-informed practice, Maia serves as a resilience coach to individual and group clients here at The Healed Space and as a partner coach at Hemispheres Coaching & Advocacy LLC, where her compassionate approach to neuroplastic inquiry helps clients discover organic pathways to nervous system safety and calm.

In addition to her work as a wellness practitioner, Maia's practice as a medicine artist includes numerous privately sponsored and community-based projects, from large-scale art installations to children’s art and wellness education programs. She gratefully resides on the lands of the Chumash in Ojai, CA where she honors the legacy of the indigenous people in her art, healing work and community service.
